Anita Bose-Pfaff

Anita Bose Pfaff ( born 1942 in Vienna ) is a German economist, former professor at the University of Augsburg and politician (SPD).

Family

Bose Pfaff is the daughter of Indian freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose ( Netaji ) and his Austrian wife, Emilie Schenkl. It is Netajis only child. On a trip to India, she met her husband, the economist and former Augsburg SPD Bundestag member Professor Martin Pfaff, know. They have three children: Peter Arun, Thomas Krishna and Maya Carina.

Academic career

Bose Pfaff studied economics and taught from 1971 at the University of Augsburg, especially microeconomic theory, distribution theory, and labor market theory and policy. There, she was a professor and founded with her husband, the International Institute for Empirical Social Economics. My research interests are social policy, health economics, public health and the transfer economy.

Her interest has also introduced into the scientific advisory board for Women's Policy at the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth and health and youth and the Advisory Board for Regional Planning at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development. She was a member of the Enquete Commission on " Demographic Change " of the German parliament and published for the Hans Boeckler Foundation.

It belonged from 1978 to 1982 the extended board of the Society for Economic and Social Sciences and was a member of several scientific advisory boards. She was Vice-Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board of the German Institute for Economic Research in Berlin. Since 1989/90, she was Women's Officer at the University of Augsburg. After her retirement in 2008, she was the first " amica universitatis " the University of Augsburg.

Policy

In October 2011, Anita Bose Pfaff was elected to city of Bergen as SPD candidate for Mayor 2.
