Anja Brünglinghaus

Anja Brünglinghaus (* 1963 in Bochum ) is a German actress.

Life and career

She studied at the School for Acting Hamburg and at the Acting Academy Zurich.

Her first engagement occurred in 1987 at the Schauspielhaus Zurich on under the direction of Gerd Heinz. In 1994 she moved to the Schauspielhaus Dresden, where she worked 11 years as a permanent member.

This period produced large roles as the Countess Terzky in Wallenstein by Friedrich Schiller ( director Hasko Weber), as " Blanche " in A Streetcar Named Desire, as the Countess ORSINA in Emilia Galotti as well as in the lead role in " The landlady " by Peter Turrini in the staging by Michael Thalheimer.

In 2005, she joined the Staatstheater Stuttgart under the direction of Hasko Weber. As in Chekhov's Platonov General's ( Director: Karin Henkel) she was invited to the Berlin Theatre Meeting. In a wide variety of roles in plays, among others, by Elfriede Jelinek, Botho Strauss, Yasmina Reza (as Veronique Houillet in God of Carnage ), Werner Schwab and Sibylle Berg (world premiere: the main thing working ) she shows her wide acting ability, which focuses on always authenticity of her characters is.

In the season 2010/2011 she was seen as an allegorical figure of communism in Heiner Müller's The construction as well as in the premiere issues of beauty by Sibylle Berg.
