Anjala

Anjala [ ɑnjɑlɑ ] is a former municipality in southeastern Finland and now administratively part of Kouvola. The Settlement Centre ( taajama ) Anjala has about 2000 inhabitants and is situated in the south of the urban area of ​​Kouvola on the west bank of the River Kymi River across from Inkeroinen.

The area of Anjala originally belonged to the parish Elimäki. 1692 Anjala given its own house of prayer.
