Anna Brigadere
Anna Brigadere (born 19 Septemberjul / October 1 1861greg in Tērvete, Latvia, .. † June 25, 1933 ibid ) was a Latvian writer.
Life
Anna Brigadere wrote comedies and plays. Her best-known was Sprīdītis, the story of a young Latvian peasant boy who sets out to explore the world and experience fantastic adventures in a nearby forest.
She is also the author of four autobiographical works, including Dievs, daba, darbs (God, nature, work) over the life of a Latvian woman in the late 19th century.
