Anna Pavlova (gymnast)

Anna Pavlova Anatoljewna (Russian Анна Анатольевна Павлова, scientific transliteration Anna Pavlova Anatolevna; born September 6, 1987 in Orechowo - Zuyevo ) is a Russian gymnast and Olympic athlete.

Career

Pavlova started at the age of 5 years with the gymnastics. She is coached by her mother Natalia Pavlova Evgenevna and belongs to the MGFSO Dynamo in Moscow. In the choreography it is supported by Olga Mikhailovna Maximova and the acrobats they trained Boris Ivanovich Shuvalov. International recognition she won in 2000 as the winner of the Junior European Championships on beam. After that she won at the 2001 Goodwill Games, the silver medal in the same device.

The XXVIII. 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, she won the bronze medal in jump (jump table ) with 9,475 points. The winner was the Romanian Monica Rosu with 9.656 points and the silver medal went to the US-American Annia Hatch with 9,481 points.

Also they had previously won bronze in the team competition already. The Russian team with Lyudmila Jeschowa, Svetlana Khorkina, Maria Krjutschkowa, Jelena Samolodtschikowa and Natalia Zigantschina reached 113.235 points. Gold went to the team from Romania ( 114.283 ) and silver in the United States ( 113.584 ).

At the 2008 Olympics in Beijing she won with the Russian team fourth. Also in the all around, as well as in jump, floor and balance beam finals, it was not possible to erturnen her a medal.
