Anna Tunnicliffe

Anna Tunnicliffe ( born October 17, 1982 in Doncaster, England) is an American sailor.

Tunnicliffe began to sail in the Optimist at the age of 9 years. At age 12, her family moved to Perrysburg, Ohio. There Tunnicliffe began with the sailing regatta. At 17, she switched to the Laser Radial and sailed in the consequence also the laser ( Standardrigg ).

Sporting successes (all in the Laser Radial class) were among others 2005 3rd place at the Women's World Cup, the eighth place at the European Championship, in 2006 the 4th place at the World Championship, and in October 2006 the 1st place in the world rankings.

At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing Tunnicliffe won the gold medal in the Laser Radial class of boat.
