Annamária Tóth

Annamária Tóth (née Kovács; born September 14, 1945 in Budapest ) is a retired Hungarian athlete, but occurred mainly in the pentathlon as a sprinter and long jumper in appearance.

She celebrated her biggest success by winning the bronze medal in the pentathlon at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City. They achieved their personal best of 4959 points (80- meter hurdles: 1061, Shot Put: 901, High Jump: 934, long jump: 1016, 200 -meter run: 1047). She was also a member of the Hungarian 4 × 100 m relay, however, been eliminated in the first round. At the European Athletics Championships in 1966 in her hometown of Budapest she won the pentathlon with 4704 points in fifth place and was thus only 9 points behind the bronze medalist Inge Exner.

Tóth was nine times Hungarian champion, including three in the pentathlon (1966-1967, 1969). Five of her title she achieved in sprint disciplines, namely two in the 80 - meter hurdles ( 1966-1967 ), and one each in the 100 - meter hurdles (1969 ), in the 100 - meter dash (1966 ) and in the 200 -meter run (1967). They also won in 1969 the championship in the long jump.

Annamária Tóth had a competition weight of 58 kg at a height of 1.64 m. She started for Honvéd Budapest.
