Annely Akkermann

Annely Akkermann ( born October 5, 1972 in Linaküla on Kihnu in western Estonia ) is an Estonian politician.

In Pärnu 1990, she completed her high school diploma. In 2009 she graduated from the University of Tartu her bachelor's degree in economics.

From 1990 to 1991 she worked at the Commercial Bank in Pärnu. After that she worked as a member of various supervisory and management boards: 1991-2006 Board of Kihnurand AG, 1992-2009 Board of the " avatud Kihnu Institute ", 1996-2009 Board of Port Artur AG, 2002-2005 Board of Kihnu Veeteed AG, 1997-2009 Board of Triple Invest AG, 2002-2009 Board of Port Artur Grupp GmbH, since 2003 the Supervisory Board of Kihnu Cultural Space Institute, 2003-2009 Board Port Artur Haldus GmbH, 2006-2009 Board Kihnurand AG, since 2007 the Supervisory Board of Pärnu tourists Institute, 2008-2009 Board of the nonprofit organization " Liivi Lahe Kalanduskogu ".

Their political involvement began in 2002 with the accession to the Conservative Party Isamaa yes Res Publica Liit (IRL ). From 2005 to 2009, she was mayor of the municipality Kihnu. Later it was from 2009 to 2011 Deputy Mayor of Pärnu. Since 2011 she has been an elected member of the Riigikogu ( Estonian Parliament) and member of the Environmental Committee and the Special Committee for the control of the state budget. It is also the chairman of the IRL- Naiskogu ( IREN ), the Women's Association of the IRL.

Annely Akkermann speaks Estonian and English. She is married and has three children.
