Annica Svensson

Annica Svensson ( born March 3, 1983 in Visnum ) is a Swedish football player.

Svensson currently plays for Tyresö FF after they previously played for Hammarby IF. It comes originally from Björneborgs IF. Her debut in the national team they were at age 27 on July 13, 2010 in a 1-1 draw against the United States. The 2011 World Cup was their first major tournament. She got in all three group matches in the starting lineup and reached with her team undefeated the quarter-finals, where they met with the Australians. Again, Svensson was back in the starting lineup and with a 3-1 win both the semifinal against Japan has been reached, as well as qualifying for the London Olympics. On July 16, 2011, she won with the team the 3rd place match in a 2-1 victory over France.

Svensson was in the Swedish squad for the 2012 Olympics. She came in two games for use and was eliminated in the quarterfinals of.
