Annopol
Annopol [ annɔpɔl ] is a town of 2,700 inhabitants in the powiat in Poland Kraśnicki, Lublin Province (Polish WojewĂłdztwo Lublin ). It is located near the mouth of Sanna in the Vistula.

History
The town was from the village Rachow which the gentry families Rachowski, Czyżowski, Morsztyn and from the mid-18th century, the Tymiński family belonged in the 16th and 17th centuries.
1761 was the place the town right by the Polish King August III. The owner of the place Rachow, Antoni Jabłonowski, then named the place after his late wife Anna. It stands for Anno Anna and pol comes from the Greek polis for city. The image of Anna is immortalized in the coat of arms of the town.
In the third partition of Poland in 1795, the city came to Austria, from 1815 it belonged to the Kingdom of Poland. 1869 lost the place a city charter.
1939 started with the digestion of a phosphorite deposit in 1970 took over the company Metalchem another pit on.
On November 3, 1943, a camp for 630 Jews was established. In the massacre of Borów the area around the village was destroyed Borów on 2 February 1944 by German military units, over 900 inhabitants murdered.
Between July 1944 and January 1945 was at Annopol the front between the Wehrmacht and the Soviet Army.
Since 1 January 1996 Annopol is a city again.

Both the coat of arms, the flag, as well as the flag of Annopol were officially introduced on 28 June 2002.
Coat of arms
The coat of arms of municipalities Annopol shows the seated figure of St. Anne. She wears a green dress, a white coat, yellow slippers and has a golden halo around his head. Her right hand she has disclosed to the chest. On a red background is in capital letter to her left a silvery 'S' and on her right side in the same style, the letter 'A'.
Flag
The flag of the municipality Annopol has three horizontal stripes. These carry from the bottom up the colors yellow, green and white. The two outer strips have a height of 2:5, depending on the overall size of the flag, while the median strip has a height of 1:5.
