Anoushiravan Rohani

Anoushiravan Rohani, also Anoushirvan Rohani ( Persian انوشیروان روحانی; born 1939 in Rasht ) is a famous Iranian composer and pianist.

Anoushiravan came in 1939 in Rasht in Iran to the world. He received music lessons from his father Reza Rohani, himself a poet and violinist. Later Anoushiravan studied piano with Javad Maroufi, one of the most famous Persian pianist, at the Persian National Music Conservatory in Tehran.

His passion for the keyboard and the piano was so great that he imported 1963 as the first electronic organ to Iran. In addition to the organ, he also played the accordion.

After the Iranian revolution of 1979, he continued composing in the West, especially in Los Angeles and in Germany. He took on various recordings for the label MZM records.

He also worked with a large number of orchestras from all over the world, including with the Czech Symphony Orchestra, which recorded the orchestral music for his album Love Melodies.

Anoushiravan Rohani has composed for a variety of Iranian singers and has performed with them. Among them: Vigen, Marzieh, Pouran, Hayedeh, Mahasti, and Ahdieh.

His most famous piece is " Tavalodat Mobarak " (Persian تولدت مبارک ) (Text Nozar Parang ), which is played or sung as the Iranian version of " Happy Birthday" song at appropriate occasions.
