Anselmo Guido Pecorari

Anselmo Guido Pecorari ( born May 19, 1946 in Sermide, Mantova, Italy) is a Roman Catholic Archbishop and Vatican Diplomat.

Life

Anselmo Guido Pecorari received on 27 September 1970, the sacrament of Holy Orders. Pecorari was incardinated in the Diocese of Mantua. He received his doctorate in canon law and Catholic theology in the subjects.

On March 25, 1980 Anselmo Guido Pecorari entered the diplomatic service of the Holy See. He served in the Apostolic Nunciature in Liberia, Spain, Ireland and Slovenia, and in the Vatican Secretariat of State. On December 24, 1981 Pope John Paul II awarded him the honorary title of Chaplain of His Holiness ( Monsignor ) on 8 August 1991 and the title of Honorary Prelate of His Holiness.

On November 29, 2003, Pope John Paul II appointed Titular Archbishop of Populonia and appointed him as Apostolic Nuncio in Rwanda. He received his episcopal consecration on January 11, 2004 Secretary of State Cardinal Angelo Sodano; Co-consecrators were the President of the Apostolic charity management, Curia Archbishop Oscar Rizzato, and the Bishop of Mantua, Egidio Caporello. Anselmo Guido Pecorari met on 17 January 2008 as Apostolic Nuncio in Rwanda back. On 24 May 2008, he appointed Pope Benedict XVI. Apostolic Nuncio to Uruguay.
