ANT (network)

ANT and ANT are proprietary radio network standards for the 2.4 GHz ISM band. The Dynastream, a subsidiary of the company Garmin, they developed since 2004 in order to cost-effectively connect sensors over short distances with evaluation. Compared to the ZigBee data rate in burst mode with 20 kb / s is considerably smaller. The range is limited to 30 m. Devices need when receiving or sending less than 50 mW of power. Since they remain most of the time in sleep mode, the total power consumption is low.
