Reviews

  • " Minstrel shows the events from the different perspectives of the characters. Objects isolated incidents and phrases mark starting points. This creates scenes of great tension and density, which document both fragility and complexity of human existence. "
  • " Although exhausted most of the scenes from Antares in platitudes and several times wiedergekäuten social stereotypes, it remains entertaining despite its running time of two hours over long distances. "
  • " The expected stereotypes provide pure social realism, and then again to be disturbing parody of their own weaknesses. Antares is the name of a distant bright star image. But none of the figures raised his eyes to heaven. " Christina Krisch wrote in the Kronen-Zeitung from 9 April 2009
  • Says The Encyclopedia of the International film: " The disillusioned researchers view of the director recalls Robert Altman, but holds less emotionless distance. Despite the sobriety with which the life situations are described, hope stiftend and full of sympathy for the characters. "
