Anthony Sablan Apuron

Anthony Sablan Apurón OFM Cap ( born 1 November 1945 in Hagåtña, Guam ) is Archbishop of Agaña.

Life

Anthony Sablan Apurón joined the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin and received on 26 August 1972, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On December 8, 1983, Pope John Paul II appointed titular bishop of Muzuca in Byzacena and appointed him auxiliary bishop in Agaña. The Archbishop of Agaña, Felixberto Camacho Flores, donated to him on 19 February 1984, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Honolulu, Joseph Anthony Ferrario, and the Bishop of Naha, Peter Baptist Tadamaro Ishigami OFM Cap. On October 27, 1985 Anthony Sablan Apurón was appointed Apostolic Administrator of Agaña. John Paul II appointed him on 10 March 1986 for the Archbishop of Agaña. The inauguration took place on 11 May 1986.
