Anti-Fascist Struggle Day

The day of the anti-fascist struggle ( Croat Dan antifašističke boron ) is committed in Croatia on June 22 of each year as a national holiday.

It is celebrated in commemoration of 22 June 1941, when the first Croatian partisan unit was founded in forest Brezovica in Sisak. This was the first anti-fascist military unit not only in Croatia, but also throughout the later Yugoslavia.
