Antiphonary

A Antiphonale (also Antiphonarium or Antiphonary, Antiphonale Monasticum ) is a liturgical book for the hourly prayers of the Roman Catholic Church.

It contains the melodies and lyrics of all songs Liturgy of the Hours, the antiphons, of which the name of the book is derived, the corresponding psalms and hymns Responsorien. In addition to the Antiphonarium Romanum or the Antiphonale the Liturgy of the Hours, there are also own antiphonaries various orders.
