Antoine Camilleri

Antoine Camilleri ( born August 20, 1965 in Sliema) is a diplomat of the Holy See.

Life

Antoine Camilleri received on 5 July 1991 the ordination to the priesthood.

He has been active since 1999 in the diplomatic service of the Vatican and was at the Nuniaturen in Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands ( 1999-2002), Uganda ( 2002-05 ) and Cuba (2005-06 ) worked. Since 2007 he has been in the Vatican Secretariat of State works for Relations with States, and as deputy Dominique Mambertis.

Pope Benedict XVI. appointed him on February 22, 2013 to the Under Secretary of the Section for Relations with States of the Secretariat of State. He speaks seven languages, including Russian, Portuguese and Romanian.
