Antoine Dufour

Antoine Dufour ( born 1979 in L' Épiphanie region Lanaudière, Quebec ) is a French- Canadian guitarist and composer.

Dufour studied guitar at the Cégep Joliette, where he became familiar with the fingerstyle technique by Don Ross, Leo Kottke and Michael Hedges.

His compositions are influenced by folk music radio, progressive rock and classical music.

Dufour 2006 received first prize in the competition of the Canadian Guitar Festival. In the International Fingerstyle Guitar Championship of the same year in Winfield (Kansas ), he was third.
