Antonello Grimaldi

Antonello Grimaldi (actually Antonio Luigi Grimaldi, born August 14, 1955 in Sassari, Sardinia ) is an Italian film director.

Life

Grimaldi studied in his native city of Sassari Jura. From 1980 to 1983, he received a directing course at the Gaumont film school in Rome. His directorial debut was in 1985 with the produced by Renzo Rossellini episode film Juke Box. After working as a journalist and experience as a program manager at RAITre he laid in 1988 before his first independent feature film Nulla ci può fermare. The third film Il cielo è semper più blu of 1995 managed to go abroad on festivals and eventually into the British cinema. In Germany, he was shown at the 1996 Berlinale in the Panorama section.
