Antoninus of Florence

Antoninus ( Anthony ) of Florence, ( Antonino Pierozzi, * 1389 in Florence, † 1459 in Florence ) was a Dominican theologian, Prior of San Marco and Archbishop of Florence. In 1523 he was canonized.

Antoninus addressed in his works, among others, economic and social issues. Joseph Schumpeter holds Antoninus ' analysis of the relationship of principal, interest and profit for the greatest contribution to scholastic interest analysis.
