Antonio Lombardo (sculptor)

Antonio Lombardo (* around 1458 in Venice, † 1516 in Ferrara) was a Venetian sculptor.

Lombardo was the son of the architect Pietro Lombardo. The stonemason and builder Tullio Lombardo image was his brother.

For the marble rooms ( Marmi Di Camerino ) of the palace of Alfonso d' Este, Duke of Ferrara, he produced a complicated sculpture composition

Among other things, he created The Birth of Minerva, the goddess of the mind.
