Antonio López-Istúriz White

Antonio López- Istúriz White ( born April 1, 1970 in Pamplona ) is a Spanish politician of the conservative party PP and Member of the European Parliament.

After a university degree in law and in business López- Istúriz worked from 1999 to 2002 as assistant to the conservative Prime Minister José María Aznar. He was appointed Secretary-General of the European People's Party in 2002, the Christian Democrat - Conservative European party, who also belongs to the Spanish PP. 2003 López- Istúriz has been selected as successor by Alejandro Agag Executive Secretary of the Christian Democratic International; He also is a member of the Executive Committee and the Foreign Affairs Committee of the PP.

In the 2004 European elections Istúriz - White was elected to the European Parliament, where he became a member of the board of the EPP-ED group. He also serves on the Committee on Legal Affairs and the Delegation of the European Parliament in the Joint Parliamentary Assembly ACP countries and the EU. In the European elections in Spain in 2009 he was again elected.
