Antrim House

Antrim House is a historic building in the Boulcott Street in Wellington, New Zealand. The house was built in 1905 under the direction of architect Thomas Turnbull and Sons ( William Turnbull ) for Robert Hannah, built an Irish immigrant from County Antrim. It is a wooden structure made of Kauri and Totara heartwood of on a concrete foundation. Antrim House is a good example of the Edwardian and Italianate - style dating from the reign of Edward VII The two-storey house with tower and mansard roof was once an impressive residence of a rich businessman on a large plot with garden and outbuildings. Today the house and smaller lawns are in the midst of modern buildings higher.

The building was registered on 26 November 1981 as a monument to the Category I by the New Zealand Historic Places Trust. The New Zealand conservation organization here has its headquarters
