Apatinska Brewery

The Apatin ( Apatin brewery) in Apatin on the Danube is one of 13 breweries in Serbia, of which only 8 are located in Vojvodina.

History

The brewery was founded in 1756 in Apatin in the then part of the Habsburg monarchy Vojvodina. The annual production amounted to 12,000 hectoliters in the first year, which corresponds to the current production of a single day. In 2003, 99% of the brewery in the possession of the Belgian- Brazilian InBev Group. The best-known product is the Jelen Pivo, which is the market share leader in Serbia with 35%.

Other products include non-alcoholic beverages such as iced tea and juices. The products of the Brewery are exported worldwide. Since 2008, the brewery is sponsoring the first Serbian football league.
