Apfelstädtaue

In the administration of Community Apfelstädtaue from the Thuringian district of Gotha in 1992, five municipalities have joined together to do their administrative business. Office of the Management Association is the largest of the five member municipalities George valley.

Geography

The administrative area in the floodplain of the river " Apfelstädt " extends from Gotha country until the Rennsteig.

The municipalities of the administrative community located along the country roads L 2146 and L 1028 Coming from Gotha - Uelleben successively the places Emleben, Petriroda, (from here L 1028 ) High churches, manor and George Thal go through. About Schwabhausen and the B 247, the community is connected to the A 4. The B 88 ( Eisenach - Jena - Naumburg ) performs George valley. A railway line from Tambach- Dietharz cuts George valley and Emleben and continues to Gotha. These compounds are beneficial to the industrial estates in Emleben, manor and chief churches.

Apart from the state-approved leisure George Thal, who has the appearance of a spa preserved early 20th century, the other places have a lovable village character. Due to the good infrastructure attractive new residential areas have developed in places.
