Aplexa
Moss bladder snail
The genus Aplexa is the namesake genus of the subfamily Aplexinae ( in the family of bladder snails ( Physidae ) ) that the subordination of the water snails ( Basommatophora ) is expected.
Features
The sinistral housing are slim, and the thread is significantly higher than the opening. The opening is not inflated. The jacket had no coat appendages such as the genus Physa. Foot and mantle of the animal are black.
System
The number of species within the genus is still uncertain. Especially African species have been described under this generic name, have now been assigned to other genera. In Central Europe, only the moss bladder snail ( Aplexa hypnorum ) occurs. Variety of ways:
