Aponeurosis

As aponeurosis (Latin for " fascia " ) is referred to in the medical area or plate structures made of connective tissue. They serve as sinewy insertion of a muscle or the extension of the Muskelendsehnen, eg on the oblique abdominal muscles, Flexor Carpi ( Palmarflexoren, palmar flexor tendon ).

The plantar fascia is mainly used for bracing and maintaining the arch of the foot and protects the muscles, tendons, nerves and blood vessels of the foot. The palmar fascia protects the nerves and vessels of the hand.
