Apostolic Vicariate of Istanbul

The Apostolic Vicariate of Istanbul (Latin: apostolicus Vicariatus Istanbulensis ) is located in Turkey Roman Catholic Apostolic Vicariate with its headquarters in Istanbul. From 1925 to 1974 there was no own Vicar Apostolic and the respective Apostolic Delegate ( nuncio ) provided the duties of the Apostolic Vicar Apostolic Administrator.

It was established on 15 April 1742 Apostolic Vicariate Konstantin Opel and changed on 30 November 1990 on its present name.
