Apostolic Vicariate of Quetta

The Apostolic Vicariate of Quetta (Latin: apostolicus Vicariatus Quettensis ) is located in Pakistan Roman Catholic Apostolic Vicariate with its headquarters in Quetta, capital of Balochistan province in northwest Pakistan.

History

The Apostolic Prefecture of Quetta was established on 9 November 2001 from cessions of territory of the Diocese of Hyderabad in Pakistan and of Karachi archdiocese by Pope John Paul II. On 29 April 2010, the Apostolic Prefecture of Quetta was by Pope Benedict XVI. elevated to the Apostolic Vicariate.

The territory of the Apostolic Vicariate comprises the districts of Quetta, Ziarat, Chaggai, Loralai, Sibi and Zhob, the district Kachhi and Kalat and the province of Baluchistan.
