Apostolis Anthimos

Apostolis Apostolis ( born September 25, 1954 in Siemianowice Śląskie, Poland ) is a Polish -born Greek blues and jazz guitarist.

In 1971 he was a founding member of the rock band SBB. The acronym stood for SBB Silesian Blues Band. Together with the band leader Józef Skrzek he made this band a sensation not only in Poland but also in international concerts and festivals. It was regarded in the 1970s as one of the most innovative bands in Poland. Apostolis also accompanied with the band SBB the legendary rock star Czesław Niemen Poland. Mid-1980s, he left after the dissolution of SBB Poland and emigrated to be the original homeland of Greece. He worked as a studio musician in Greece, where he recorded with Vangelis records. After Poland, he later returned regularly to making records with jazz musicians like Tomasz Stanko.

Today he plays again with the re-established band SBB, Greece has a jazz trio under the name TRIAS and in Poland the Apostolis Anthimos Trio Jazz Trio.
