Aquarela do Brasil

Aquarela do Brasil ( Portuguese for Watercolor of Brazil), a Samba title, which was composed in 1939 by the Brazilian composer Ary Barroso. In an abbreviated form, it became internationally known under the English title Brazil, as Walt Disney used it in 1942 in his film Saludos Amigos ( Three Caballeros in Samba fever). Barroso in 1944 was nominated for an Oscar.

As a result of this popularity, Aquarela do Brasil, was published in the following decades by numerous artists new. Even as film music of the title was reused. 1985 Terry Gilliam used him. Than music for his film Brazil, to which he had been largely inspired by the title
