Aquila A 210

The Aquila A210 is a two-seat powered aircraft in composite design. It is intended for training and as a small plane for the private and commercial sector.

History

The aircraft is produced by the German aircraft manufacturer Aquila, who has also developed this after the presentation at the 1999 air show AERO in Friedrichshafen. The first flight took place on 5 March 2000 and after the start of series production in 2002 to July 2007, 70 units were built. The airplane is certified according to the European building regulations JAR -VLA and is powered by a Rotax 912S piston engine. The approval for night visual flight is now granted.

The machine is a two-seat low-wing monoplane of composite fiber material construction, which should be used for training purposes. After completion of the insolvency and change of name to Aquila Aviation by Excellence in the spring of 2008, the A210 is also available in a new version with three-blade propellers and double - cockpit display since 2009.

Another version provides Aquila with the A210 SXT, which was developed specifically for clubs and flight schools. She has, for example to a second speedometer on the co-pilot side. In the pilot panel a so-called workout visor is attached for student pilots, as have some difficulties to assess the attitude of the rounded snout. Outwardly makes the difference to the no longer fully clad, but equipped only with fenders wheels noticeable.

A further development of the basic design is the A211, which has been improved in some points. It is offered with three different avionics packages from analog primary and engine instrumentation to a full glass cockpit ( A211, A211G, A211GX ).
