Arabian Sea

The Arabian Sea (Arabic بحر العرب, DMG Bahr al 'Arab, Persian دریای عرب, Urdu بحیرہ عرب, Hindi: अरब सागर ) is a marginal sea of the Indian Ocean between the Arabian Peninsula and India. In the northwest it borders on the Gulf of Oman, which is in turn connected to the Persian Gulf. In the southwest, the Gulf of Aden connects the Arabian Sea with the Red Sea. In the southeast of the Arabian Sea borders the Lakkadivensee. Most oceanographers consider the Lakshadweep as part of the Arabian Sea. Further east borders this, or the Arabian Sea in a broad sense to the Bay of Bengal.

Towns on the coast are among other Mumbai ( Bombay ) and Karachi.

The Indus is the most important power to the Arabian Sea. Other rivers Narmada and Tapti are, both of which flow into the Gulf of Khambhat.
