Arabist

The Arabic ( Arabic Philology ) is the science of the Arabic language and the Arabic literature. The Arabic is part of the Oriental and closely linked to the Islamic Studies.

The linguistic part deals with the various stages of the Arab language as Altarabisch, Classic Modern Standard Arabic, Middle Arabic, Modern Standard Arabic and its dialects.

As the Arabic Literature explores the Arabic poetry and prose literature of pre-Islamic times to the present day and the religious, philosophical, historical and geographical literature of the Islamic culture and the Jewish and Christian literature in Arabic.
