ARAG-Tower

The ARAG - Tower is an office building at Mörsenbroicher egg in the Düsseldorf district Moersenbroich and is used by the headquarters of the ARAG insurance. It was opened on 27 April 2001.

It was designed by architects Foster Partners and Rhode Kellermann Wawrowsky ( RKW ) designed and built by Hochtief AG as general contractor in the period from 1998 to 2001, after the old Grade II listed ARAG -stage high-rise building by the architect Paul Schneider- Esleben, built in the years 1964 to 1967, had been demolished.

The ARAG - Tower is almost 125 meters, two meters higher than the previous highest skyscraper in Düsseldorf, the LVA Tower (now the German Rhineland pension ) at the southern end of King Avenue. The 32 -storey building provides jobs for about 950 people. The office floors are designed so that they can be set up differently depending on demand.

The building has four floors garden, which serve, among other things for recreation. Air conditioning is not superfluous in this building, although the facade is designed as a double façade, creating a natural supply of fresh air and used air disposal facilities shall be available. The glass facade of the building is 20,000 square meters. The primary energy consumption is with 232.2 kWh / m² compared with similarly equipped buildings on a very good level.
