Araniko

Araniko or Arniko (* 1244, † 1306) was a Nepalese architect operating in China from Kathmandu. His work falls in the time of Kublai Khan. His most famous building is the White Stupa ( Baita ) of the Temple of the White Pagoda in Beijing.

In his honor, carrying the trunk road between Kathmandu and the Chinese border the name Araniko Highway.
