Arcesilaus I of Cyrene

I. Arcesilaus (Greek Ἀρκεσίλαος ) was about 599-583 BC, succeeding his father Battus I. king of Cyrene.

Except for the fact that Arcesilaus is said to have ruled according to Herodotus, sixteen years, no historical events are narrated. In the reign was succeeded by his son Battus II of Happy.
