Archaeological Museum of Patras

The Archaeological Museum in the Greek port city of Patras is one of the largest archaeological museums in Greece. It was designed by Theofanis Bobotis and officially opened on 24 July 2009. The new museum building has rooms with 8,000 square meters of exhibition space, where significant archaeological pieces are exhibited, a total of more than two thousand exhibits from the Mycenaean period to the end of the Roman period, including mosaics from Greek and Roman antiquity. The museum is located on the northern edge of the city, on a 28,000 -square-meter plot on the Athens -Patras National Road.
