Archeparchy of Diyarbakir

The archeparchy Diyarbakır of the Chaldeans (Latin Archieparchia Amidensis Chaldaeorum ) is united with Rome Church of the Chaldean Catholic Church with Metropolitan seat in the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul (Turkey).

The archeparchy Diyarbakır was founded in 1533 as an eparchy. On January 3, 1966, the eparchy was by Pope Paul VI. raised to archeparchy.
