Archeparchy of Jerusalem of the Melkites

The Patriarchate of Jerusalem (lat.: Archidioecesis Hierosolymitanus ) is the archeparchy of Jerusalem of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church. The archdiocese comprises the autonomous territory of Palestine and has its headquarters in Jerusalem.

History

1772 the Melkite Patriarch of Antioch was appointed Apostolic Administrator for the archeparchy Jerusalem. He is responsible for the Christians of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church, who have their home in Jerusalem. Since 1838, received with Maximos III.
