Archibald Bower

Archibald Bower ( born January 17, 1686, Dundee, † September 6, 1766 in London) was a Scottish Jesuit. He grew up with his parents, who were carpenters. In Rome in 1710 he entered the Jesuit Order and taught in religious history, and philosophy. When he resigned in 1726 from the Jesuit order, he fled to England and converted to Protestantism.
