Features

The moths reach a wingspan of 19-23 mm in males and 20-28 mm in females. The moths are ocher to red-brown; the females are einfärbiger, gridded in Saumfeld. The caterpillars are about 16 to 23 millimeters long and are greenish or yellowish. The larvae of other species of the genus Archips (A. xylosteana, A. rosana ) also live on the food plants of Archips podana and can be difficult to distinguish from this species.

Way of life
