Archivista

Archivista (Italian for " archivist " ) is a web application for the realization of the paperless office. With their documents can be collected from different sources, secure and searchable stored digitally and are re-exported. It is manufactured by the Swiss Archivista GmbH, to also distributes pre-installed solutions with hardware, called ArchivistaBoxes, and technical support.

Features

It contains a text recognition solution by which the stored raster graphic images from scanned paper documents can be made ​​searchable. Technology

The software is based on the Linux distribution kit T2 and other free software components and used throughout open file formats. To access scanner devices SANE and ExactScan be used. The text recognition function is based by default on CuneiForm, Tesseract and the utility hocr2pdf, in the commercially sold complete packages the command-line version of FineReader is included. The core of the modular application is written in Perl and PHP.
