The French company Cogema ( Compagnie Générale des Matières Nucléaires ) was the world's leading company in the field of nuclear fuel cycle.

The company, based in Paris, founded in 1976 from a part of since 1945 existing state Commissariat à l' énergie Atomique (CEA ). The areas covered range from the extraction of uranium on uranium enrichment ( Eurodif project) and reprocessing of spent fuel to the recycling of this recovered nuclear fuel. Known to the public is mainly operated by Cogema reprocessing plant at La Hague.
