Argenton (river)

The Argenton ( in the upper reaches: Argent ) is a river in France, which runs in the Poitou-Charentes region in the department of Deux -Sèvres. It rises in the municipality of Clazay, drained initially in a northwesterly direction, but then turns to the northeast and ends after 71 kilometers in the municipality of Saint -Martin -de- Sanzay as a left tributary of the Thouet.
