Ariabignes
Ariabignes (Greek Ἀριαβίγνης; * before 522 BC; † 480 BC at Salamis ) was a member of the Persian Achämenidendynastie in the 5th century BC. He was the youngest of the three sons of the Great King Darius I from his first marriage to a daughter of Gobryas. His full brothers were Artobazanes and Ariamenes.
During the invasion of Greece by Xerxes I in 480 BC Ariabignes commanded the Ionian and Carian Squadron of the Persian fleet. Like his brother Ariamenes he was killed at the Battle of Salamis also.
