Arid (Band)

Arid is a Belgian rock band that was founded in the mid-1990s. Highlighted Pungent is the voice of the lead singer Jasper Steverlinck, which is sometimes compared to that of Jeff Buckley and Freddie Mercury. The band first came to attention in Belgium in 1996, as she stood there at a music competition in the final.

Their first album Little Thing of Venom was published in 1998 (in the U.S. under the title At the Close of Every Day ). After the album was successful, the band toured together with Suede, K's Choice and Counting Crows. 2001, the band also became known in Germany than they contributed music for the IMAX 3D film Haunted Castle, where their singer Jasper Steverlinck played the lead role.

2002 another studio album and a live album were released. With All Things Come in Waves up Arid reported back in 2008 (without bassist Filip Ros ).
