Arílson

Gilberto da Costa Arilson, ( born June 11, 1973 in Bento Gonçalves (Rio Grande do Sul ) ), is a Brazilian football player who was the 1995 to date, the most expensive purchase of the 1st FC Kaiserslautern.

The midfielder was, when the FCK was in the winter of 1995 in a relegation battle, for around 3 million euro transfer fee from the World Cup finalists Gremio committed. However, he came to only ten Bundesliga appearances and was soon loaned out to Internacional Porto Alegre, before the contract was terminated. He found a calling as a national team in the CONCACAF Gold Cup 1996 in the USA. From July 1999 - June 2000 Arilson played at Real Valladolid.

Achievements

It was 1996 German Cup winner with the first FC Kaiserslautern. However, he was only on the bench.
