Ariobarzanes II of Cius

Ariobarzanes of Chios ( ancient Greek: Ἀριοβαρζάνης ) prevailed in the years 363 BC to 337 BC in Kios, a city on the east coast of the Marmara Sea.

According to Diodorus Ariobarzanes died in the year 337 BC, after a reign of twenty-six years. Maybe he was one of the two sons mentioned by Demosthenes of the satrap of Phrygia, Ariobarzanes († 362 BC), which were awarded the Attic civil rights.

His successor in Kios was Mithridates, who had probably been his brother. The founder of the Kingdom of Pontus, Mithridates Ktistes, was probably his son.
